a. Sunday School
Geared for young adults ages 4 to 16, the Sunday school meets on Sundays, noon to 1:00 pm.
Sunday school starts with Children worship service, followed by prayer in the children congregation.
There are four classes based on age group. The classes will then discuss materials, have activities
and teaching of God's words that are structured according to the child's level. Those four classes
are:
- 'Kelas Kecil': Preschool - Gr. 1
- 'Kelas Tengah': Gr. 2 - Gr. 5
- 'Remaja I': Gr. 6 - Gr. 8
- 'Remaja II': Gr. 9 - Gr. 12
b. Nursery
Nursery is a recent extension of our Children Ministry. It serves children from birth to 3 years of
age. With a spacious room full of educational toys and experienced Christian mothers in charge of
the program we hope the venue provides fruitful time, both for the parents to benefit from the
service, and for the babies/toddlers to interact and to have fun.
c. Children Picnic
To strengthen bonds among teachers, learners, and their parents, our ministry has invited
the "stakeholders" for picnics or other outdoor activities. The wonder of God's hand can be
clearly observed in the nature. Fun-filled activities and fellowships are the theme of the
day.
d. Music / Performance
A glimpse of God's gifts in music and talents is shown in a weekly child or team of children
performance at the general assembly. We have been touched by the excellence of God's creation,
with drama, music, songs and dances presented with the willingness of the young hearts to praise
our God.
e. Special Events
Children are always encouraged to participate in special celebrations, such as Easter, Christmas,
Father's and Mother's Days, Thanksgiving's Day and GKI's birthday to present a performance or
appreciation show that represents grateful hearts for Christ's redemption and the fellowships
in Him.
f. Prayers
Praying for our young members is one of important aspect of GKI's prayer objective. Whether it is
during weekly Bible study or general assembly, praying ministry with and for the children is the
ammunition of establishing lifelong relationships with Christ.
